Privacy, in plain words
Draft summary. The full privacy policy is being finalized.
What we collect
Your email, first name, date of birth, main sport and optional team. Each week you log, we store a hit range and whether you had a suspected or diagnosed concussion. If you turn on phone notifications, we store a device token so we can send them.
Who sees it
Only you, or the parent or guardian who manages the account. Coaches and teams never see individual data; a team only sees how many members logged, and only once it has 10 or more members. Parents of athletes 13 and older only see data if the athlete chooses to share it.
Anonymous stats
The live feed and peer comparisons use anonymous, grouped data (sport and age band only) and stay hidden until a group has at least 10 athletes. Concussion reports never appear in the feed.
Reminders
Weekly reminders come by email and, if you allow them, phone notifications. Turn either off in your profile.
Deleting your data
Email privacy@hitlog.ca and we'll delete your account and every log.
Not medical advice
HitLog is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat concussion.
